Murdock
The Man With No First Name

  • Native-born Chicagoan:
    • raised on the Southside of Chicago, living at Stateway Gardens projects, the Grand Crossing and the South Shore neigborhoods.
    • He attended Chicago Vocational High School, Kennedy-King College, and Chicago State University.
  • Sagittarian (12/11/47)
  • Murdock has many interests in life, and aspired to be first and foremost a Chicago mounted horse policeman, a singer, a businessman, and an actor. But his most important avocation is to be a horseman.

A Personal Message from Murdock:

I never dreamed my life would have kept me involved with horses this long. From the age of 10 years old, I rode my first horse and have been involved with horses until the present. Horses are a part of me as your dogs and cats are to you, and so I love my horse. For me to not have involvement with horses would be the same as removing your favorite passion away from you.

Most of my adult life has been committed to spearheading activities that would help others find enjoyment from an involvement with horses. These activities have certainly brought together a large group of cowboys, cowgirls, and buckaroos for parties, horse competition shows, visits to schools/hospitals, and of course the Highnoon Ride and Picnic.

As this journey continues, however, not alone, with the mighty help and strong support system I have received for years from my fellow club members. Our quest continues and will never stop or waiver until the the City of Chicago stops giving us what THEY want, but grants us what WE DESERVE. That is, either give us the land or building to make this vision come to fuition.

And when this happens, our assignment will have just begun, as we prove to the public and to the naysayers who doubted that this vision would be worth the fight.

Nonetheless, if you would help support this project, as we help our young children in the future turn their minds away from violence and help them focus on a new source of entertainment--a hobby such as horseback riding. For them, this will teach and give them information that will help keep their minds preoccupied.

For with horses, you are forever learning.

We would appreciate your support in our Vision. Please consider joining the Broken Arrow Horseback Riding Club (click here for link) or making a donation to our cause (click here for link). Thanks!
